Es ist eine gemalte Reise, um diese so einmalige mediterrane Inselwelt mit seinen Farben und dem Licht aufzufangen. Jedoch bietet diese Insel noch so viel Stille, Harmonie und Schönheit, dass es für mich als Maler immer wieder Entdeckungen gab, die mich spontan veranlassten, die von Georg Sand beschriebene Herrlichkeit und Anmut zu suchen und auf Papier zu bannen. Dazu waren meine Aquarellfarben wieder wunderbare Ausdrucksmittel, die Schönheit, die mir überall auf meinen Wanderungen durch die so abwechslungsreichen Landschaften Mallorcas begegnete, festzuhalten. Stellte wieder fest, wie ideal die Aquarelltechnik ist, auch das Licht dieser Landschaften und Orte aufzunehmen. Das Spiel mit der Transparenz der Aquarellfarbe und dem Wasser bringen die Motive zum Leuchten.

Mallorca is one of the most beautiful places on earth for a painter But where there is only pictorial beauty to depict, the pen fails, so I didnt even try to put it into words. Only a pencil or an engraving tool can reveal to us the splendor and grace of nature.
It is a painted journey to capture this unique Mediterranean island world with its colors and light. However, this island also offers so much tranquility, harmony, and beauty that, as a painter, I continually discovered new things that spontaneously led me to seek out and capture the splendor and grace described by George Sand on paper. My watercolor paints were once again wonderful means of expression to capture the beauty I encountered everywhere on my hikes through the diverse landscapes of Mallorca. I again realized how ideal the watercolor technique is for capturing the light of these landscapes and places. The play with the transparency of watercolor paint and water makes the motifs glow.
